でした。ちなみに、

でして、

/usr/local/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/sh-script/executable.el(c)

は存在するのですが、autoload のおまじないは、なされていないよう
です。

また、
/usr/local/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/sh-script/ChangeLog
の最後が

2000-07-11  Jose Romildo Malaquias <romildo@urano.iceb.ufop.br>

	* sh-script.el: Synch with FSF 20.7.

と相当古いようなので、たまたま手元にあった、

xemacs-sumo-2003-04-14.tar.gz

に変えたら

% xemacs -batch -vanilla -eval '(message "%s" (describe-function (quote executable-find)))'
Type q to remove help window, space to scroll the help.
`executable-find' is an autoloaded Lisp function
  -- autoloads from "executable"

と、ちゃんと動きました。ご面倒をおかけしました。
