animated gifs

Can emacs-w3m play animated gifs?
$ wget http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bd/Water_drop_animation_enhanced_small.gif -O /tmp/f.gif
Then browsing it with
URL (default HOME): file:///tmp/f.gif
doesn't show movement.
$ firefox /tmp/f.gif #works great.
Also please test browsing the web page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Water_drop_animation_enhanced_small.gif ?
All I see mentioned is (info "(emacs-w3m)Required Emacs Version")
