Seems not dead.  But I guess it might be better to bring it up as
Debian's bug (because w3m seems to be being updated by Kinoshita-san
nowadays).

I can imagine that a way to improve w3m would be to make TH text
bold when running on a terminal, and also to surround TH text with
<b>...</b> when using it with the -halfdump argument for emacs-w3m.
