Emacs-w3m reloads page (?)

Since I updated to Emacs 25 I've noticed some
strange behavior with Emacs-w3m [all (?)
version below].
And yes, I get this with 'emacs -q' as well.
What happens is when I open a web page, it is
as if it is loaded twice, first it appears,
then I scroll down to look for whatever, then
it reloads (?) and point jumps back to
(point-min) again.
Emacs:
GNU Emacs 25.1.1
(arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf, GTK+ Version
3.22.11) of 2017-09-16, modified by Debian
w3m:
w3m/0.5.3+git20170102
Emacs-w3m:
1.4.569
BTW Emacs-w3m has a variable,
`emacs-w3m-version', but not a function like
`emacs-version' and `gnus-version'.
The is how the Gnus function
looks, and the Emacs ditto has the same
`insert' feature and interface.
(defun gnus-version (&optional arg)
"Version number of this version of Gnus.
If ARG, insert string at point."
(interactive "P")
(if arg
(insert (message gnus-version))
(message gnus-version)))
;; line 3214 @ /usr/share/emacs/25.1/lisp/gnus/gnus.el.gz
Something for Emacs-w3m, perhaps?
