ということで、XEmacs without Mule で動くようにしてみましたが、
以下の問題がありました。
(1) CCL がない。
→ CCL がなければ w3m-euc-japan を作らないようにした。
(2) いくつかの関数が無い。
→ w3m-xmas で ignore に alias した。
(3) iso-2022-7bit の日本語中に `"' が含まれいると syntax が狂う。
→ w3m.el はとりあえず "アンテナ" を "Antenna" にした(^^;
w3m-dtree.el は dos-string にも含まれていたりでやっかいです。
手抜きな案としては euc-japan にするというのがあります。
(4) w3m-weather.el のバイトコンパイルができない。
While compiling toplevel forms in file /home/ari/work/namazu/emacs-w3m/w3m-weather.el:

→ 未調査
non-mule では使えないから、インストール対象から外すので良い?
(5) configure 時に "Do you want to use 2-byte character for table border,
item, etc." で Y とした w3m だと化ける。
→ N とした w3m を使うと大丈夫であろう:-P
