I agree. Sorry to make us confused about this issue.
Use the comment'ed text in the ja.texi file:

    以降では、w3m-lynx-like-mapに基づきEmacs-w3mのキー割当て(キーバインド)
    を記述します。記述中には、に対するコマンド名も併記します。
    @code{w3m-info-like-map} を使っている場合は、@kbd{M-x where-is}を使っ
    て、目的のコマンドに対するキーバインドを調べて下さい。
