i got it with "cvs up -A -rHEAD" on -28.02.03-16:39.  on a
nonexistent page, i get an informational text screen like this:

  "Cannot retrieve URL: http://www.firstderivativ (exit status: 0)

   www.firstderivativ could not be found. Please check the name and
   try again."

this is not so good, i'd much rather have the message-line normally
just stating "(exit status: 0)" be appended with "... HTTP 404".
