line wrapping in w3m-el

Hi,

I have noticed that w3m-el does line wrapping of HTML lines by putting in 
actual line breaks in the text.

For the open source project in which I am involved (SuperCollider3), we are 
using w3m-el for the display of help files which are written in the HTML 
format. However, due to the inserted line breaks, the code contained in these 
help files becomes unexecutable.

I would like to get some pointers to how I could override the behaviour of 
w3m-el for putting line breaks into lines, so that emacs will just use the 
normal wraparound method for the display of the text, but the lines will still 
be executable as one line.
