Please install iso8859-5 fontset as
"-ETL-fixed-medium-r-normal--16-160-72-72-C-80-ISO8859-5".

Ex: ftp://ftp.m17n.org/pub/mule/intlfonts-1.2.tar.gz

## So I can see koi8-r character.
## http://namazu.org/~shirai/koi8-r.png :-)

Where installed the icons of Emacs-w3m? And try this,
(setq w3m-icon-directory "/locate/of/w3m/icons")
