Please do e.g.,
$ emacs -q --eval '(setq-default show-trailing-whitespace t)' -f w3m \
  http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Wiki_family
to see all the wasted whitespace in w3m-el-snapshot.
(The solution of course is _not_ to just ask users to turn off
show-trailing-whitespace.)
