Is it because you use Gnus in a *terminal* Emacs, but
for the browser, you want images, so you use a GUI
Emacs for Emacs-W3M?
That's rational, but not the reason. All the (interactive) Emacs
instances i use are graphical. The separation hides latency and
preserves context. It's true, Emacs is its own forest, but the
nice thing about continents is that they are (mostly :-D) stable,
and traversing the spaces between is an opportunity to meditate.
In this way, i live in Emacs, but am neither hermit nor hostage.
