(void-variable charset) on XEmacs?

かずひこです。

emacs-w3m-1.2.1, wl-2.7.5, w3m/0.2.1+mee-p19-6+moe-1.3.9, XEmacs-21.4.5 
および emacs-21.1 の環境で、(setq w3m-type 'w3mmee) で @impress.internet 
を見ると、mini-buffer に
(void-variable charset)
と出るだけで中身が表示されません。

・XEmacs の場合
> MIME-Version: 1.0
> 
> [1  <text/html; ISO-2022-JP (7bit)>]
(おしまい)

・Emacs の場合
> MIME-Version: 1.0
(おしまい)

~/.wl.el では、mime-w3m.el の先頭からいただいた

(setq mime-setup-enable-inline-html nil)
(eval-after-load "mime-view"
  '(progn
     (autoload 'mime-w3m-preview-text/html "mime-w3m")
     (ctree-set-calist-strictly
      'mime-preview-condition

を設定してあります。

これはこちらの設定の問題なのでしょうか。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
