訂正させて下さい。ほとんど使わないのは active-region の方で、
url-at-point は活用していました。ただし w3m-make-new-session を
t にしてあるので、その場合でも w3m-goto-url-new-session ではなく
て単なる w3m コマンドを使って new-session を立ち上げています。

`w3m-make-new-session'
*Non-nil means making new emacs-w3m buffers when visiting new pages.
If it is non-nil and there are already emacs-w3m buffers, the `w3m'
command makes a new emacs-w3m buffer if a user specifies a url string
in the minibuffer, and the `w3m-safe-view-this-url' command also makes
a new buffer if a user invokes it in a buffer not being running the
`w3m-mode'.

後半部分は shimbun 記事の中のリンクで RET を押したときを想定して
います。たぶんぼくは global-map に w3m-goto-url-new-session を置
いたり w3m-safe-view-this-url-new-session を作るのが面倒で、この
機能を作ったんでしょう。`M-x w3m RET' にショートカットキーは必要
ありませんから。
