Ok, reverted.  I didn't apply your first patch ([emacs-w3m:12946])
either since I'm not quite sure that it's ok not to use cached
data in only the condition where there is no "<textarea".
Moreover, it will run `(goto-char beg)' even if `beg' is nil.

I have no time these days, so I'll tackle it later anyway.
