Thanks. I changed that in my copy. With that change, can it be accepted?
The other patch, the one that you reverted, doesn't *hurt* anything, and
it does nudge the process along for handling a 304 response, so that
could also be included, since it is an incremental (if incomplete)
improvement.
Just now, I used the patch again for the emacswiki, and can report again
that it works fine.
