Thank for this information. Using 'apt-cache policy autoconf', gives me

autoconf:
  Installed: 2.69-8
  Candidate: 2.69-8
  Version table:
 *** 2.69-8 0
        500 http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ jessie/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
