Re: Suggest improve tool-bar


While GTK Emacs doesn't seem to support customizing the tool bar
appearance[1], you can now do it if you use LUCID Emacs 21, 22,
and 23 (i.e., the one having been built without the `--with-gtk'
option).  To do that, perform `M-x customize-option' for the
`w3m-toolbar-configurations' variable, change some items, and
press the `Set for Current Session' button.  For instance,
setting `tool-bar-button-margin' to 0 and `tool-bar-button-relief'
to 2 makes the tool bar for emacs-w3m frames compact.
